Identifying Ivy!
Since we are spending a lot more time outdoors this fall, some of our 7th grade students joined forces to create a cross grade level virtual lesson all about poison ivy for our younger students in Kindergarten.
Cross grade learning has always been present in the FSS classroom, and luckily it still is through Zoom! The 7th grade instructors explained what the characteristics of poison ivy are and showed photos of all of the different ways poison ivy can look. They presented the classroom with informative posters all about identifying and avoiding poison ivy whenever they are at Fresh Pond!
