As part of the Children’s March and Love Rally, there will be these contests for students of local schools.
Create Art: Create a drawing or painting that illustrates what you want our world to look like and/or your dream for our planet in the coming years. These should be in color, in whatever medium you chose. All entries must fill an 8X11 inch blank paper, landscape. Finalist art pieces will be publicly displayed, and the winning art will be turned into postcards to be used to send messages to politicians to encourage them to save our planet.
All entries should have the following information: Name, grade, teacher’s and name school you attend (if applicable), and contact information. They should be mailed to:

Write a Speech: What do you have to say about saving the planet? If you could speak to politicians, what would you tell them? Show us by writing a motivational speech that addresses environmental issues and encourages people to take action to save our planet, or other issues concerning youth. Entries should be typed, size 12 font, and should be no more than 300 words. Winning writers will be invited to speak at the Love Rally at City Hall.
Write a Poem: Craft a poem about problems our earth is facing today or how you want our planet to look like in the coming years. Any length poem is accepted. Winning poets will be invited to speak at the Love Rally at City Hall and poems will be displayed.
There will be awards including cash, gift certificates, and prizes!
