Science in the primary years takes a thematic approach providing for in-depth study and making connections across the curriculum. Our program provides opportunities for students to ask questions, experiment, make observations, draw conclusions and share their findings. In the study of earth and life sciences, we take full advantage of our close proximity to Fresh Pond Nature Preserve, as well as Boston museums, and parent expertise in various medical fields. In the study of physical science, materials are provided with which to experiment, build models and test students’ theories. Through these experiences, students begin to view themselves as scientists and see the world through a scientific lens.
