Welcome to Fayerweather Street school where active learning is visible in each classroom. We appreciate your interest and look forward to partnering with your family during your school search. We understand that choosing a school community is an important decision, and Fayerweather not only embraces each and every child but also each and every family. Of course, the best way to learn about Fayerweather is by connecting with us! Schedule an appointment by emailing our Director of Admissions, Karina Davis. We look forward to meeting you!
The Fayerweather Street School campus is closed to all visitors at this time. In place of in-person tours, we invite you to take a virtual tour as a family. Fill out this brief inquiry form to learn more about the admissions process and upcoming events.
While we are currently unable to offer tours in-person during the school day, we look forward to sharing our school with you via Zoom for an individualized conversation and tour to answer your specific questions as we walk through active classrooms.
We will also offer in-person visits on weekends in October and November to those who have initiated the application process. Please keep in mind that these in-person experiences must be accompanied by a virtual parent interview to complete the application process.
Applications for tuition assistance for the 2022-2023 school year will be available online through School and Student Services (SSS) and due no later than February 1, 2022. Please note SSS also asks for additional financial documentation, such as tax returns and W-2 forms.
Please be aware that our financial aid budget is typically distributed by the end of April.
All PreK -2nd grade applicants and parents will be invited to participate in grade level screenings. During these sessions, children will be asked to participate in a variety of activities that will help us get to know them. Parents will be given the opportunity to ask questions related to Fayerweather’s curriculum and school life.
3rd-8th grade visits will include time with classroom teachers across various disciplines as well as an academic assessment.
These visits are designed to begin building connections as well as conduct individual assessments. We will inform you of your screening date by mid-January.
Please note: In an effort to support an equitable admission process, Fayerweather does not require standardized testing as part of the admissions process. All 6th-8th grade applicants will be given a writing prompt to complete at the time of their visit.
