On Saturday, November 16, Fayerweather welcomed over 150 new faces to our school!
New parents and students had the chance to not only tour our school but speak and learn with our amazing staff. To start, our PreK and K rooms demonstrated the special importance of Morning Meeting & Choice Time. The 1/2 room showed off their Ball & Ramps experiment, while 3/4 discussed their work on designing and implementing changes to the MA state flag. The 5/6 worked on an exercise in writing, while the Unit offered a challenging math problem. Both Hannah’s Shop, and Iku’s art room gave families the chance to build a special creation of their own. Kate’s music room gave kids a chance to explore different musical instruments. Graciela and her 1/2 grade Spanish Chorus stole the show with a performance of three songs.
Staff and administration led a panel discussion about the curriculum and academics at FSS. Staff and parent volunteers also gave guided tours of the school.
The administration would like to thank all of the incredible staff and volunteers who made this event possible!
