There's only so much a website can show. Coming in person, even briefly, is how families get the real feel of the place: how the classrooms sound, how kids move through the building, what teachers notice and how they respond. We have many ways for you to come find out how joyful school can be.
Discovery Day at Fayerweather
Join us on a Saturday morning where the whole family can experience Fayerweather in action. Children learn best by doing real things for real reasons, and you'll have an opportunity to experience a mini-lesson that demonstrates this philosophy in action. You’ll also meet members of our community and have an opportunity to ask questions. You'll definitely get a feel for our joyful, experiential approach to learning. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Prospective Parent Mornings
This is an opportunity just for parents/caregivers to meet our leadership team, tour classrooms, and discover our program, community, and educational philosophy. These mornings are a great way to see Fayerweather on a typical day, peek into classrooms, and learn about the things that make Fayerweather a joyful and unique place for children to learn.

Group Tours, Tuesdays & Thursdays
This is an opportunity for parents/caregivers to tour our campus with other prospective families, look in on classrooms across the grade levels, and witness our approach to teaching and learning in action. And there will be ample time for you to ask any questions that occur to you. Tours last about an hour.

PreK to 8th Grade Curricular Arc (Virtual)
Join us virtually for a conversation with our Lower School Head Lauren Mueller who will share an overview of Fayerweather’s curriculum from Pre-K through 8th grade. Learn how our program builds skills and habits of mind from year-to-year, supporting students’ academic, social, and personal growth at every stage. We’ll also explore how our whole-child approach prepares students with the confidence, curiosity, and independence they need to thrive in high school and beyond. We look forward to welcoming you and giving you a deeper look at the Fayerweather experience!

Virtual Coffee with Head of School
Grab a cup of coffee (or tea!) and join our Head of School Kim Ridley for a conversation about her educational philosophy, vision for Fayerweather, and the values that guide our school community. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with Kim, learn more about what makes Fayerweather unique, and gain insight into the experiences we create for our students.

Founded in 1967, Fayerweather is an all-gender independent private school enrolling students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and located in Cambridge, MA.
