Alum Update
Stay in touch.
Our eighth graders go on to a wide range of high schools, and what their new teachers tell us is remarkably consistent. Fayerweather graduates think before they answer, they ask the question everyone else in the room was wondering about, and they can explain their reasoning clearly, out loud and on paper. We’ve heard “I can spot a Fayerweather kid a mile away” from enough high school teachers that it no longer surprises us. Alums fill in the rest of the picture when they write back about leading class discussions, starting and running clubs, and captaining teams.
If you’re a Fayerweather alum, we’d love to know where you’ve landed. Update your contact information so invitations and news from school reach you, find us on Facebook and Instagram, or write to us at alum@fayerweather.org. And if you’re back in Cambridge, stop by Concord Avenue and say hello.

Founded in 1967, Fayerweather is an all-gender independent private school enrolling students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and located in Cambridge, MA. Children here are taken seriously — as thinkers, as individuals, as people whose presence in the world already matters. They learn by doing real things, in real places, for real audiences. They become themselves, in community, over time.
