Extra Curricular Programs
In addition to the regular Extended Day program, there are a range of extracurricular activities offered seasonally throughout the school year. These include our interscholastic sports teams and sports classes, various clubs and classes led by both students and staff, STEM classes, art classes, theatre offerings, and more! Both Extended Day students and FSS students not enrolled in Extended Day may participate in these programs.

- 5-8 Interscholastic Sports Teams: Soccer, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee
- Practice weekly with your team, and engage in friendly competitive matches with other independent schools in our area
- Sports Skills Classes: Soccer, Basketball, Frisbee
- For our younger students, build confidence and skills so that they can one day join the Fayerweather teams
- Yoga with Jenn Falk
- Engage in a mindful movement practice as students wind down from a busy day at school
- Gamer’s Guild with Aaron Bennett
- Explore Dungeons & Dragons, either as a Dungeon Master or playing as a unique character
- Math Madness with Abby Branch
- Sharpen problem solving skills and compete against other schools in online math competitions
- Parkour hosted by Parkour Generations Boston
- Enhance physical and mental strength by training in parkour – suited for all ability and fitness levels
- Kung Fu hosted by Eight Animal Martial Arts
- Learn self-defense skills and traditional kung-fu all while having fun
- Theatre with Emily Grove
- The Actor’s Toolbox is an opportunity for our youngest students to try being new characters and create their own mini play
- The Fall Musical for grades 3-6 hits the stage in early December
- The Unit Play has been a tradition for decades, and performs at the METG Drama Festival in early May
