We're thrilled to inform you that the Boston Pride parade and festival is coming back, and Fayerweather is excited to participate again! Fayerweather has been a part of this tradition for many years, and we're honored to have been the first school to march in the Boston Pride Parade officially!
This year, we're proud to be one of the parade sponsors and will be marching for the first time since 2019. We'd love for as many of you as possible to join us in celebrating this event.
Schedule:
10:00-10:30 am: FSS group meets at 569 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116
11:00 Parade begins! We will be following the route below which is anticipated to be 1.5 hours long:
12:00pm Parade disassembles as it proceeds up Beacon to the corner of Beacon and Park St.
From here, families can join the Festival on the Boston Common, including local performers, food trucks, vendors, a health zone and various family, youth, and quiet affinity areas.
Lastly, we have NEW Pride shirts, designed by the Unit GSA and are free if you register for the walk (while supplies last-limited adult sizes left!)
A few important reminders:
Pack lightly! The march, although shorter than previous years, can be taxing on the little ones and adults will likely have to carry some cargo. Be prepared! We suggest a small backpack so that your hands are free to hold signs, dance, etc.!
Bring water and sunscreen- it will be hot and sunny!
Bring scooters! Kids can walk, but push-scooters are also welcome!
You are encouraged to wear your festive gear, but Fayerweather will provide wearables the day of.
