1967  School opens with 4 teachers and 73 children, aged 5-13.
 
1968  Teacher salaries range from $5,600 to $7,000.
 
1969 School building erected 74R Fayerweather Street.
 
1970 Annual budget of $140,000 approved.
 
1971 School purchases building at 68 Fayerweather Street.
 
1973 First Regatta takes place - on roof!
 
1974 Tuition is set at $1,600.
 
1976 AfterSchool first offered.
 
1977 Major flooding of yard and lower classrooms.
 
1977 School goes broke, borrows from board president.
 
1978 Initial AISNE accreditation.
 
1980 Enrollment declines for fifth year, from 150 in 1975 to 104.
 
1980 Affirmative Action Committee organized.
 
1981 National gas shortage: thermostats lowered to 55°
 
1982 Gym and offices added to fourth floor.

1983 Publication of the Unit's book, The Kids' Book of Divorce.
 
1984 Fayerweather Educational Foundation established.

1988 First Storytelling Festival.
 
1993 Inaugural Grandparents and Special Friends Day.
 
1994 Annual Unit Play first presented.
 
1998 Capital campaign nets $855,000.
 
1999 School moves to 765 Concord Avenue; first Pre-K class.
 
1999 AfterSchool Band performs first Mother's Day show at Johnny D's.
 
2004 Capital Campaign nets $1,500,000.
 
2005 Path to the Park built; Financial Aid tops $500,000.
 
2006 Phase II of move completed, expanding the school by a 1/3.
 
2007 Enrollment first tops 200.
 
2008  intramural sports teams introduced
 
2013 Full-time counselor position added.
 
2014 Major playground renovation completed.
 
2016 Budget of over $5,000,000 supports faculty and staff of 50.
 
2017 Tech Deck and Light & Sound Project completed
