Special Programs
Fayerweather offers a range of experiences beyond the classroom in the form of Spanish,
Art, Music, Woodshop, Library, Physical Education, Growth Education and Learning
Resources. These programs encourage students to explore, make deeper connections
in their learning, and develop self- confidence beyond the work they do as part
of the integrated core curriculum. Students work in the art, music and woodshop
studios, have both structured and unstructured time in the library, play sports
in the gym or after school, and attend Spanish classes every week. Students requiring
a little additional help may meet with tutors through the Learning Resources program.
Annual Art and Wood shows, the Regatta, musical performances, Chorus, and a variety
of integrated projects provide students with opportunities to show-case their work
for the community. A range of works-in-progress can be seen throughout the school
any day of the week.
