Admissions Timeline

The admissions process at Fayerweather usually involves the six steps listed here.

1. Parent Tours:
Parent tours begin in October by appointment only. A variety of people guide our tours, including the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Head of School and parent volunteers. Tour groups are small or individual, allowing visitors time to observe classrooms. Tours are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tours take approximately 45 minutes. When you schedule the tour, please indicate the grade(s) your child (children) will be entering.

2. Application and Application Fee:
A completed application with a non-refundable $50 application fee are due by January 15th. Late applications will be accepted after this date if there is space available. Fee waivers are available to eligible families.

3. Interviews:
Interviews can be scheduled before or after the tour, but can only be held once the application has been submitted. Interviews last approximately thirty minutes. All interviews must be completed before March 1st.

4. Student Evaluation Forms:
A completed Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE) student evaluation form should be sent directly to Fayerweather by the applicant's current teacher(s) by January 31st.
