- Fayerweather is a coeducational, independent day school founded in 1967.
- Fayerweather Street, in Cambridge, was the original site of the school for over
30 years. In 2000 we moved to our spacious and beautiful building at 765 Concord
Ave. across from Cambridge's Fresh Pond Reservation.
- Our enrollment is 205 and we serve Pre-k through 8th grades.
- Students are grouped in mixed-age classrooms, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8.
- We have 49 teachers and staff.
- Our teacher/student ratio is 1:11 except in PreK where it is 1:8. The overall ratio
of teaching staff to students is 1:6.
- We are accredited by the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE).
- School opens at 8:30 a.m. and classes begins at 8:45 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.
for Pre-k - grade 6, and 3:15 p.m. for 7th and 8th grades. There is a 1:00 p.m.
pick-up option for Pre-k students.
